Prof. Dr. Adelaide Nardocci
Biography
Prof. Dr. Adelaide Nardocci is Associate Professor of Environmental Risk Assessment and Risk Management at the Department of Environmental Health, School of Public Health, University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her research focuses on quantitative risk assessment from environmental contaminants, vulnerability assessment and spatial analysis.
She is a physicist and holds a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering (1990) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a PhD in Public Health (1999) from the University of São Paulo. She is also leader of the Center for Research on Risk Assessment and member of the Center for Research on Disasters (CEPED) of the University of Sao Paulo. She is an adviser to the graduate program in Public Health and teaches risk analysis in the undergraduate course of Environmental Engineering.
Contribution to the ASTRID project: air traffic air pollution, health effects, social justice.
