Ioar Rivas

Ioar Rivas is currently a postdoc researcher at the University of Surrey (Guildford, UK). Within the ASTRID Project, Ioar will be collecting and working with air pollutant exposure data in London.

She recently got her PhD in Environmental Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, Spain) after working under the supervision of Prof. Xavier Querol and Prof. Jordi Sunyer in the IDAEA-CSIC and CREAL Research Centres. Her thesis was a comprehensive work about air quality in indoor and outdoor environments in schools in Barcelona as well as children’s personal exposure to traffic pollutants. Ioar’s main research interests are indoor and outdoor air quality, personal exposure to air pollutants and its relation to health effects.
